Chirag Pehchan was a 1980s Bhangra band in the UK, formed by Amarjit Sidhu and Mangal Singh by merging the two Punjabi bhangra groups Chirag and Pehchan, best remembered for the 1987 classic album Rail Gaddi, composed by Kuljit Bhamra. Their song Rail Gaddi was sung by Mangal Singh and became a popular party piece at the end of Indian weddings, synonymous with Do The Conga, where wedding guests form lines, pretending to be a train, dancing around the wedding hall.{{cite web|url={{AllMusic|class=artist|id=p466046|pure_url=yes}}|title=Biography: Chirag Pehchan|last=Harris|first=Craig|publisher=Allmusic|accessdate=25 May 2010}}{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=gJxADwAAQBAJ&q=rail+gaddi+mangal+singh&pg=PT77|title=Staging British South Asian Culture: Bollywood and Bhangra in British Theatre|last=Daboo|first=Jerri|date=2017|publisher=Routledge|isbn=9781317196112|language=en}}{{Cite web|url=http://www.asianentertainmentsuk.com/mangal.html|title=Mangal Singh - Asian Entertainments|website=www.asianentertainmentsuk.com|access-date=22 June 2019}}{{Cite web|url=https://vads.ac.uk/large.php?uid=47366&sos=0|title=Chirag Pehchan Group, Rail Gaddi, by Chirag Pehchan - Cassette Sleeve - SALIDAA - VADS: the online resource for visual arts|website=vads.ac.uk|access-date=22 June 2019}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.desiblitz.com/content/uk-bhangra-bands-1980s|title=10 Popular UK Bhangra Bands from the 1980s|date=21 August 2018|website=DESIblitz|language=en|access-date=22 June 2019}}
