Career
;2012 Summer Olympics
Choi made her Olympic debut at the 2012 London Games as part of the South Korean women's archery team alongside Ki Bo-bae and Lee Sung-jin. The trio collectively finished top of the team standings in the 72-arrow ranking round, which determined the seedings for the subsequent elimination rounds, with Ki and Lee heading the results for the individual event. Choi however struggled with nerves in her first Olympic competition and concluded the round twenty points adrift of her teammates, scoring 651 points from a maximum of 720 and finishing in a distant 21st place.{{cite web|url=https://www.reuters.com/article/us-oly-arch-arwind/korea-women-archers-on-target-but-u-s-in-the-hunt-idUSBRE86Q17C20120727|title=Korea women archers on target but U.S. in the hunt|work=Reuters|first=Peter|last=Rutherford|date=27 July 2012|accessdate=4 August 2019}}{{cite web|url=http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20120728000058|title=S. South Korea were the overwhelming favourites to win the women's team event, and the trio comfortably defeated Denmark and Japan to reach the final against China. After a slow start – in which Choi shot the team's highest score of eight in the first set of arrows – they recovered to win South Korea's seventh successive Olympic gold medal in the discipline.{{cite web|url=https://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/news/article/article.aspx?aid=2957115|title=Archer shows nerves of steel to win|website=Korea JoongAng Daily|first=Kyung-don|last=Joo|date=31 July 2012|accessdate=1 February 2020}} Choi's medal came despite competing with shoulder pain, which she blamed for her form.{{cite web|url=https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2019/06/400_116303.html|title=Women archers overcome weather|website=The Korea Herald|first=Ji-soo|last=Kim|date=30 July 2012|accessdate=1 February 2020}}
Choi reached the last sixteen in the women's individual event, losing in a one arrow shoot-off to France's Berengère Schuh after tying on set points.{{cite web|url=https://www.liberation.fr/sports/2012/08/02/l-archere-berangere-schuh-en-quarts-de-finale_837223|title=L'archère Berangère Schuh en quarts de finale|language=French|trans-title=Archer Berangère Schuh into the quarter-finals|website=Libération|agency=Agence France-Presse|date=2 August 2012|accessdate=1 February 2020}}
