The music video for "Chop My Money" was directed by Jude Engees Okoye and Ben Marc.{{cite web|title=VIDEO: P-Square – Chop My Money ft AKON & May D|url=http://notjustok.com/2012/02/23/p-square-chop-my-money-ft-akon-may-d/|publisher=Notjustok|accessdate=22 August 2013}}{{cite web|title=Chop My Money Ft Akon, May D|url=http://iroking.com/track/5943/chop-my-money-ft-akon-may-d|publisher=Iroking|accessdate=22 August 2013|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20121006202022/http://iroking.com/track/5943/chop-my-money-ft-akon-may-d|archive-date=6 October 2012|url-status=dead}}

Background and recording

"Chop My Money" loosely translates to Spend My Money. In an interview with Tim Westwood in 2012, the duo were asked about their collaboration with Akon and how it came about. They said they've known Akon for several years and their collaboration with him was an easy transition.{{cite AV media |people=P-Square |year=2012 |title=Westwood – P-Square 'Chop my money' |medium=youtube |url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZuznYHinyw |time= 5:41|publisher=YouTube |location=London}}
