In 2000 and 2001 Brock was a combined 10–8 with a 4.29 ERA in 82 relief appearances and 5 starts with the Phillies.[http://www.wawa.com/wawaweb/cms_docs/Harry%20Kalas%20Release.pdf - Wawa.com page referring to "Remembering Harry Kalas" book, sold at Wawa stores - reference appears on Page 150] {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130227171344/http://www.wawa.com/WawaWeb/cms_docs/Harry%20Kalas%20Release.pdf|date=February 27, 2013}} Retrieved July 13, 2010
While with the Phillies, Brock complained to Phillies GM Ed Wade about Harry Kalas sitting in the back of the plane (the area usually only occupied by players) on road trips. Wade subsequently banished Kalas from the back of the plane. However, this situation was quickly rectified, as Kalas was revered by most of the Phillies players who enjoyed having him sit with them.{{Cite book|last=Wofle|first=Rich|title=Remembering Harry Kalas|publisher=Lone Wolfe Press|year=2009|isbn=978-0-9800978-6-3|pages=150}}
In 2002, Brock's only season with the Orioles, he went 2–1 with a 4.70 earned run average in 22 relief appearances. He was released on October 1, 2002.{{Cite web |url=http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20021001&content_id=157626&vkey=pr_bal&fext=.jsp&c_id=bal |title="Orioles release four players," Baltimore Orioles press release, Tuesday, October 1, 2002. |access-date=October 27, 2011 |archive-date=March 4, 2016 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160304050322/http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20021001&content_id=157626&vkey=pr_bal&fext=.jsp&c_id=bal |url-status=dead }}
