Christopher Machiel van Zyl (born 12 July 1986 in Cape Town) is a former South African rugby union player for the {{Rut|Stormers}} in Super Rugby and {{Rut|Western Province}} in the Currie Cup.{{SA Rugby Player Profile | id=52203 | name=Chris van Zyl | date=29 May 2016}} His regular position is lock.

Career

He played some Varsity Cup rugby, representing {{Rut|Maties}} in the 2011 Varsity Cup competition and making three appearances.

He joined the {{Rut|Golden Lions}} senior side in 2013.
