Chthonopes is a genus of southeast Asian ray spiders that was first described by J. Wunderlich in 2011.{{cite journal| last=Wunderlich| first=J.| year=2011| title=Extant and fossil spiders (Araneae)| journal=Beiträge zur Araneologie| pages=433–435| volume=6}} {{as of|2020|06}} it contains three species, found in caves of Laos, but can likely also be found in India and China: C. cavernicola, C. jaegeri, and C. thakekensis.{{cite journal| title=Gen.
