The Chungnam-class frigate is a class of frigates of the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN). The Chungnam class is based on the preceding {{sclass|Daegu|frigate|4}}. Which in turn is based on the {{sclass|Incheon|frigate|4}}, and has otherwise been referred to as the Incheon-class batch III, or FFX-III. Confusingly, the FFX Batch III is sometimes called the Ulsan-class.{{Cite web| last = Cha| first = Eunhyuk| title = Hanwha Ocean to Build Last Two Ulsan-class FFX Batch III Frigates| work = Naval News| access-date = 2023-11-13| date = 2023-07-16| url = https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2023/07/hanwha-ocean-ffx-batch-iii-frigates/}}
