Distillation
Citadelle Gin is made using an open flame Pot Still distillation. Using a traditional Charentaise pot still used in Cognac France. Distillation over an open flame allows the complementary aromas to come together when the wine comes into contact with the bottom of the boiler.{{Cite web|title = Charentaise distillation " L'encyclopédie du Cognac|url = http://www.pediacognac.com/la-distillation-dela-distillation-enla-distillation/das-charentaiser-brennverfahrencharentaise-distillationla-distillation-charentaise/?lang=en|website = www.pediacognac.com|access-date = 2015-06-01}}
Citadelle Reserve
Citadelle Gin Reserve is aged in Cognac casks, which minimizes the citrus flavor.{{cite news|last=Fabricant|first=Florence|title=A Couple of Gins With Attitude|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/24/dining/24gins.html|access-date=23 May 2011|newspaper=The New York Times|date=23 June 2009}}
