Citrus reshni also known as Cleopatra mandarin{{cite web|url=https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Browser/wwwtax.cgi?mode=Info&id=171252|title=Taxonomy browser (Citrus reshni)|author=taxonomy|work=nih.gov}} is a citrus tree that is commonly used in agriculture as a rootstock of different cultivated species of citrus, mostly orange, grapefruit, tangerine and lemon. It originated in India and later was introduced to Florida from Jamaica in the mid-nineteenth century.{{cite web |url=http://www.citrusaustralia.com.au/PDFs/resources/varieties/Cleopatra_mandarin.pdf |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110221180020/http://www.citrusaustralia.com.au/PDFs/resources/varieties/Cleopatra_mandarin.pdf |archivedate=2011-02-21 |title=Cleopatra mandarin }}

The Cleopatra mandarin fruit belong to the "acidic" group of mandarins, which are too sour to be edible. When they are grown it is for the rootstock or for juice production.{{cite journal|title=New universal mitochondrial PCR markers reveal new information on maternal citrus phylogeny | doi=10.1007/s11295-010-0314-x | volume=7 | journal=Tree Genetics & Genomes | pages=49–61| year=2011 | last1=Froelicher | first1=Yann | last2=Mouhaya | first2=Wafa | last3=Bassene | first3=Jean-Baptiste | last4=Costantino | first4=Gilles | last5=Kamiri | first5=Mourad | last6=Luro | first6=Francois | last7=Morillon | first7=Raphael | last8=Ollitrault | first8=Patrick | s2cid=32371305 | url=http://agritrop.cirad.fr/558353/ }} The rootstock can handle multiple soil conditions including tolerance to the presence of limestone, salinity and soil alkalinity along with being suitable for shallow soils. It is resistant to citrus tristeza virus and exocortis but is sensitive to root asphyxia and Phytophthora.{{cite book|last=Amorós |first=Manuel |title=Produccion de Agrios |language=Spanish|year=2003|publisher=Oxford University Press |location=Madrid|pages=145–146}} One of the down sides to using the rootstock is it grows slow in the early years. In the right conditions it can induce high productivity and excellent fruit quality, although these are usually somewhat smaller than with others.{{cite book|last=Soler Aznar |first=Juan |title=Citrus: varieties and cultivation techniques / Cítricos: variedades y técnicas de cultivo|language=Spanish|year=2006|publisher=Oxford University Press |location=Madrid|pages=52}}
