Clutch Gaming (CG) was an American esports organization founded by the Houston Rockets in 2017. It had a professional League of Legends team that competed in North America's League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).{{efn|name="NA LCS"|Known as the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) from 2013 to 2018.{{cite web |title=LCS {{!}} League Championship Series |url=https://www.esports.net/wiki/tournaments/lcs/ |website=Esports.net |access-date=May 24, 2025 |archive-date=September 11, 2024 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240911030014/https://www.esports.net/wiki/tournaments/lcs/ |url-status=live }}}} In 2019, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment acquired a majority stake in Clutch Gaming and merged it with Dignitas.
The team saw mixed success in its two years of competition. Although Clutch Gaming was never able to reach the LCS finals, it did qualify for the 2019 World Championship after winning that year's regional qualifier. At the World Championship, the team managed to advance from the play-in stage to the group stage of the main event. However, Clutch Gaming was eliminated after failing to pick up a win in what commentators described as a "group of death".

Clutch Gaming subsequently defeated Royal Youth of the Turkish Championship League 3–0 to secure a spot in the main event.{{cite news |last=Endres |first=Elena |title=Clutch Gaming advance to the main stage at Worlds 2019 |url=https://dotesports.com/league-of-legends/news/clutch-gaming-advance-to-the-main-stage-at-worlds-2019 |access-date=October 23, 2019 |work=Dot Esports |date=October 7, 2019 |archive-date=October 23, 2019 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20191023075210/https://dotesports.com/league-of-legends/news/clutch-gaming-advance-to-the-main-stage-at-worlds-2019 |url-status=live }}
