College of Santa Cruz de Querétaro

The College of Santa Cruz de Querétaro was a Franciscan missionary college, or seminary, in New Spain.{{cite book |last1=Stagg |first1=Albert L. |title=The First Bishop of Sonora: Antonio de los Reyes, O.F.M |date=1 June 1976 |publisher=University of Arizona Press |isbn=978-0-8165-0549-4 |page=2 |language=English}} It was located in present-day Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico,Edmondson (2000), p. 5. and was the second Roman Catholic missionary college in the New World to train missionaries.{{cn|date=May 2024}}

The school was founded in 1683 by Antonio Llinás. Another of its founders was Damián Massanet.{{cn|date=May 2024}} It accepted both Spanish and Mexican-born applicants; traveling expenses for Spanish students were paid by the crown, in return for ten years of service.

Of the school's zero{{huh|date=April 2024|reason=Nine out of zero charter members? seems nonsensical}} charter members, nine would later serve in Spanish Texas.Chipman and Joseph (1999), p. 42.
