The Columbia Civic Library Association was a professional organization for Black librarians and library workers in Washington DC, known for compiling and publishing A Directory of Negro Graduates of Accredited Library Schools (1900-1936).{{cite journal |last1=Van Jackson |first1=Wallace |title=Negro Library Workers |journal=The Library Quarterly: Information, Community, Policy |date=January 1940 |volume=10 |issue=1 |pages=95–108 |publisher=University of Chicago Press|doi=10.1086/614653 |jstor=4302672 }} The organization was based at Howard University.
