The Com-Pac Sunday Cat is an American trailerable sailboat that was designed by Clark Mills, who had previously designed the Optimist.{{cite web|url = https://www.tropicalboating.com/2010/07/the-com-pac-sun-cat-a-review|title = The Com-Pac Sun Cat: A Review|accessdate = 22 July 2019|work = Tropical Boating|date = 28 July 2010|archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20190426170707/https://www.tropicalboating.com/2010/07/the-com-pac-sun-cat-a-review|archivedate =26 April 2019|url-status= live}}{{cite web|url =https://www.com-pacyachts.com/trailerable-catboats/sunday-cat.html|title = Com-Pac Sunday Cat|accessdate = 22 July 2019|author= Com-Pac Yachts |work = www.com-pacyachts.com|year = 2008|archiveurl = https://web.archive.org/web/20190718195658/https://www.com-pacyachts.com/trailerable-catboats/sunday-cat.html|archivedate =18 July 2019|url-status= live}}
The Sunday Cat is a development of the Com-Pac Sun Cat. The Sun Cat comes in both cabin and open day sailer models. The Sunday Cat retains the large cockpit of the day sailer, but employs a small cuddy cabin that can accommodate a portable head.{{cite web|url = https://www.gisails.com/boats/compac/sundaycat/|title = The Com-Pac Sunday Cat|access-date = 22 July 2019|author=Gulf Island Sails |work = gisails.com|archiveurl =https://web.archive.org/web/20180817123805/https://www.gisails.com/boats/compac/sundaycat/ |archivedate = 17 August 2018|url-status= live}}

The Sunday Cat is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass. It has a cat rig with a single gaff-rigged sail, a plumb stem, a nearly vertical transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a wooden tiller and a stub keel, with a retractable stainless steel {{convert|80|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} centerboard. It displaces {{convert|1500|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|300|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of fixed ballast.
The boat has a draft of {{convert|4.5|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the centreboard extended and {{convert|1.17|ft|m|abbr=on}} with it retracted, allowing beaching or ground transportation on a trailer.
The boat is normally fitted with a small outboard motor for docking and maneuvering. The cuddy cabin has two small portlights.
The mast, boom and gaff are designed for quick raising and lowering, while on the trailer or while afloat. All spars remain attached and lower onto a transom-mounted boom gallows. The mast has a steel hinge, secured by a pin.
