Corey Moore{{Cite web|url=https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MoorCo20.htm|title = Corey Moore Stats}} (born March 20, 1977) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) during the early 2000s. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies, earned unanimous All-American honors and recognition as the outstanding college defensive player. A third-round pick in the 2000 NFL draft, he played professionally for the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins of the NFL.

College career

Moore received an athletic scholarship to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he played for coach Frank Beamer's Virginia Tech Hokies football team from 1996 to 1999. He set a league record with 17 sacks. Moore was also the first unanimous Big East Defensive Player of the Year selection and was a unanimous first-team All-Big East selection. Virginia Tech retired his jersey October 23, 2010.

Professional career
