Cortanze is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about {{convert|30|km|mi}} east of Turin and about {{convert|15|km|mi|0}} northwest of Asti. As of 31 january 2024, it had a population of 258 and an area of {{convert|4.5|km2|mi2}}.All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.

The municipality of Cortanze contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Roera and San Rocco.
