Courrières ({{IPA|fr|kuʁjɛʁ}}) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France[https://www.insee.fr/fr/metadonnees/geographie/commune/62250-courrieres INSEE commune file] about {{convert|7|mi|km}} northeast of Lens. The Lens canal and the canalized river Deûle forms three quarters of the borders of the commune.
