The city developed Feriton Spur Park ({{coord|47.6702|-122.1981|type:landmark|display=inline}}) approximately halfway between ends of the trail, in public–private partnership with Google, where one of the company's Kirkland campuses surrounds the park.{{citation|title=Kirkland police prepares for peace march and rally on Saturday|date=August 18, 2017|newspaper=Kirkland Reporter|publisher=Sound Publishing|url=http://www.kirklandreporter.com/news/kirkland-police-prepares-for-peace-march-and-rally-on-saturday/}}{{citation|title=Quick-Build Trail: The Cross Kirkland Corridor|publisher=National Association of City Transportation Officials|location=New York City|date=September 2016|url=https://nacto.org/event/designingcities-2016-walkshop-kirkland/|quote=Feriton Spur [is] a public-private partnership between the City of Kirkland, Google, and SRM Development that includes a paved trail, community event areas, and sports facilities.}}

Public art

Under a city construction budget set-aside for public art in Kirkland, art is installed on the corridor. The first such work was The Spikes, created in 2017 by Lake Washington Institute of Technology welding student Merrily Dicks,{{citation|title=Kirkland to install public art piece|date=May 13, 2017|publisher=Minuteman Press|url=http://www.shop.minutemanpress.com/news/west/washington/kirkland/kirkland-to-install-public-art-piece-104528.html}}{{citation|title=Kirkland to hold installation celebration for CKC sculpture|date=May 8, 2017|newspaper=Kirkland Reporter|url=http://www.kirklandreporter.com/life/kirkland-to-hold-installation-celebration-for-ckc-sculpture/}} and consisting of three {{convert|6-8|ft|abbr=on|adj=on}} columns of recycled railroad spikes, rising from a {{convert|4|x|4|ft|abbr=on|adj=on}} metal base.{{citation|title=City Council Meeting New Business: Approving The Spikes Sculpture by Artist Merrily Dicks for the CKC|type=Memorandum|date=October 27, 2016|publisher=City of Kirkland City Manager's Office|url=http://www.kirklandwa.gov/Assets/City+Council/Council+Packets/111516/11a_NewBusiness.pdf}}
