It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Czosnów.{{TERYT}} It lies approximately {{convert|7|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} southeast of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki and {{convert|26|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} northwest of Warsaw.
