Wrestling career

Losonczi competed in the 2021 World Wrestling Championships for athletes under 23 years of age. He represented Hungary at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships, again competing in the 87 kg class. He won the silver medal at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, losing 8-7 to his Turkish rival Ali Cengiz in the men's Greco-Roman style 87 kilo final match. On 15 November 2023, the United World Wrestling recognized that a serious refereeing mistake had been committed which changed the outcome of this bout.
