Locomotives of Hector Rail are designated as Class 162.{{cite web |url=https://www.hectorrail.com/wp-content/uploads/Class_162_Facts.pdf |title=162 – The Classic Heavy Freight Loco |language=English |date= |website=hectorrail.com |publisher= |access-date=20 April 2021 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180705152921/https://www.hectorrail.com/wp-content/uploads/Class_162_Facts.pdf |archive-date=5 July 2018 |url-status=live}}

History
On 21 November 1972 the first locomotive, 151 001, was delivered by AEG and Krupp. It was followed by 11 further pilot locomotives, which were extensively tested before the main order was built. Altogether 170 locomotives were built.{{cn|date=April 2021}} Originally the Class 151 locomotives were also suitable for passenger service, however it is not possible anymore due to the lack of required safety equipment.{{cn|date=April 2021}}
Deutsche Bahn's Class 151 fleet was sold to leasing company Railpool in 2017.{{cite web |url=https://railcolornews.com/2018/11/07/de-saar-rail-151-161-outshopped/ |title=[DE] Saar Rail 151 161 outshopped |language=English |date=7 November 2018 |website=railcolornews.com |publisher=Railcolor-Ziemon |access-date=19 April 2021 |archive-url=https://archive.today/20210419104434/https://railcolornews.com/2018/11/07/de-saar-rail-151-161-outshopped/ |archive-date=19 April 2021 |url-status=live }}
Saar-Rail bought three Class 151 locomotives in 2018. Two of them operate on freight services with torpedo cars, while one locomotive serves as a spare parts donor.{{cite magazine |last=Müller |first=Matthias |title=Viel Arbeit für DB-Klassiker |trans-title=Lots of work for DB classics |magazine=Lok Magazin |volume=5/2019 |issue=452 |pages=98–101 |issn=0458-1822 |publisher=Geramond Verlag |language=German |date=May 2019}}
