History
DJ Signify's first album Sleep No More, featuring collaborations with Sage Francis and Buck 65, was described as "hip-hop at its darkest and most chilling"{{Cite web|title=DJ SIGNIFY No More Sleep |url=http://www.themilkfactory.co.uk/reviews/djsignify_sleepnomore.htm |publisher=The Milk Factory |date=March 2004 |accessdate=2010-04-24 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110615182402/http://www.themilkfactory.co.uk/reviews/djsignify_sleepnomore.htm |archivedate=2011-06-15 }} and earned him accolades as a "master beatsmith."{{Cite web |last=Pemberton |first=Rollie |authorlink=Cadence Weapon |title=DJ Signify: Sleep No More |url=http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/2551-sleep-no-more/ |publisher=Pitchfork Media |date=2004-04-19 |accessdate=2010-04-24}} His second album Of Cities was similarly described as "dense, bleak instrumental hip-hop," reminiscent of Burial's Untrue and Tricky's Maxinquaye.{{Cite web |author=Owen B. |title=DJ Signify - Of Cities |url=http://www.tinymixtapes.com/music-review/dj-signify-cities |publisher=Tiny Mix Tapes |accessdate=2010-04-24}}
