Zinc finger protein ubi-d4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DPF2 gene.{{cite journal | vauthors = Ninkina NN, Mertsalov IB, Kulikova DA, Alimova-Kost MV, Simonova OB, Korochkin LI, Kiselev SL, Buchman VL | title = Cerd4, third member of the d4 gene family: expression and organization of genomic locus | journal = Mamm Genome | volume = 12 | issue = 11 | pages = 862–6 |date=Feb 2002 | pmid = 11845289 | doi =10.1007/s00335-001-3039-1 | s2cid = 2149578 }}{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: DPF2 D4, zinc and double PHD fingers family 2| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=5977}}

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the d4 domain family, characterized by a zinc finger-like structural motif. This protein functions as a transcription factor which is necessary for the apoptotic response following deprivation of survival factors. It likely serves a regulatory role in rapid hematopoietic cell growth and turnover. This gene is considered a candidate gene for multiple endocrine neoplasia type I, an inherited cancer syndrome involving multiple parathyroid, enteropancreatic, and pituitary tumors.
