Established in 2010, DPS Barra functions under the leadership and supervision of its founder Principal, Mrs. Shilpa Manish. Activities

DPS Barra trains Students in various sports such as cricket, football, basketball, archery, horse riding and adventure sports. The school also conducts numerous inter school events throughout the year. DPS Barra hosted the Inter DPS Football Tournament{{cite web|title= Inter DPS Football Championship |url=http://epaper.jagran.com/epaper/26-oct-2013-64-kanpur-archive-edition-kanpur-Page-8.html}} for Boys at the Zonal level. The competition was held from 24 – 26 October 2013. 12 Delhi Public Schools’ participated in the Zonal tournament. DPS Azaad Nagar was declared the Winners of the tournament while DPS Bhopal emerged as the 1st Runners Up.
