DSMN is the fourth Japanese extended play by South Korean singer Lee Jun-ho. It was released on July 20, 2016.{{cite web | title=2PM 준호, 네 번째 일본 솔로투어 성료 |trans-title=2PM Junho Completes His Fourth Solo Tour in Japan| website=Aju News | date=July 11, 2016 | url=https://www.ajunews.com/view/20160711160228447 | language=ko | access-date=April 23, 2025}}
Background
In an interview, Lee revealed that the creative process behind his previous work, So Good, took a toll on his mental health. The concept for this release centred around "freedom" and "liberation." DSMN is an acronym for "Don't Stop Me Now."{{cite web | last=孝 | first=猪又 | title=2PMのJUNHO、自由と解放をテーマに現行アーバンへ接近したダンサブル&ファッショナブルな新ミニ作『DSMN』を語る | website=Mikiki|trans-title=2PM's JUNHO talks about the new danceable and fashionable mini-work "DSMN" that approaches the current urban with the theme of freedom and liberation | date=August 10, 2016 | url=https://mikiki.tokyo.jp/articles/-/11686 | language=ja | access-date=April 23, 2025}}
Composition
Lee shared that DSMN was the most challenging of his four releases at the time, largely due to his busy schedule. He wrote the track 'On Your Mind' on a day off during 2PM's Galaxy of 2PM tour.{{cite web | title=2PMのJUNHO「ツンデレな僕をわかってくれる女性がいいな」 |trans-title=2PM's JUNHO "I want a woman who understands me as a tsundere"| website=週刊女性PRIME | date=July 20, 2016 | url=https://www.jprime.jp/articles/-/7194?display=b | language=ja | access-date=April 23, 2025}} The track is themed around forbidden love and has a smooth, mid-tempo groove with an '80s boogie influence. Lee also revealed that his goal with the release was to create hybrid music unbound by genre. “Run to You” blends tropical house with dancehall reggae.
