DYNLT3
{{Short description|Protein-coding gene in humans}}
{{Infobox_gene}}
Dynein, light chain, Tctex-type 3, also known as DYNLT3, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the DYNLT3 gene.{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: DYNLT3 dynein, light chain, Tctex-type 3| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=6990}}{{cite journal | vauthors = Roux AF, Rommens J, McDowell C, Anson-Cartwright L, Bell S, Schappert K, Fishman GA, Musarella M | title = Identification of a gene from Xp21 with similarity to the tctex-1 gene of the murine t complex | journal = Hum. Function
DYNLT3 is a member of the dynein motor protein family. DYNLT3 binds to BUB3, a spindle checkpoint protein is present on kinetochores at prometaphase.{{cite journal | vauthors = Lo KW, Kogoy JM, Pfister KK | title = The DYNLT3 light chain directly links cytoplasmic dynein to a spindle checkpoint protein, Bub3 | journal = J. Interactions
DYNLT3 has been shown to interact with VDAC1.{{cite journal |doi=10.1016/S1357-2725(02)00026-2 |last=Schwarzer |first=Christian |author2=Barnikol-Watanabe Shitsu |author3=Thinnes Friedrich P |author4=Hilschmann Norbert |date=Sep 2002 |title=Voltage-dependent anion-selective channel (VDAC) interacts with the dynein light chain Tctex1 and the heat-shock protein PBP74 |journal=Int.
