Rosen is best known for the films The Last Supper,{{cite web|work=The New York Times|title=The Last Supper|year=1995|author=Janet Maslin|author-link=Janet Maslin|url=https://movies.nytimes.com/movie/review?res=9E01EEDE1339F936A35757C0A960958260}} which he wrote, as well as Freeloaders and The Curve, both of which he wrote/co-wrote and directed. In 2012, Rosen joined the writing staff of sitcom The First Family, rising from staff writer to supervising producer over the course of the show's run, writing four episodes (including the first season finale).{{citation needed|date=May 2025}}
