History

In December 1997, Doring and Roadkill formed together in an unlikely tag team. For six months, from April to October 1999, they were managed by Angelica (originally called "Miss Congeniality"), who was the onscreen girlfriend of Doring.{{cite web|url=http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCO/is_6_2/ai_71403977|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130821160028/http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCO/is_6_2/ai_71403977|url-status=dead|archive-date=2013-08-21|title=Lita's More Than Lovely|author=Thomas Chamberlin|publisher=Wrestling Digest|access-date=2007-06-06|date=April 2001 }} At Heat Wave 1999, Doring proposed to her.{{cite web|url=http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCO/is_3_5/ai_108049497|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130819115326/http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCO/is_3_5/ai_108049497|url-status=dead|archive-date=2013-08-19|title=Lovely Lita|author=Matt Berkowitz|publisher=Wrestling Digest|access-date=2007-06-06|date=October 2003 }} Angelica, however, left ECW in late October 1999 to join the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), where she became more famously known as Lita. Her last appearance was on October 23, 1999 at Re-enter the Sandman.{{cite web|url=http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/Bios/lita.html|archive-url=https://archive.today/20120530121759/http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/Bios/lita.html|url-status=usurped|archive-date=May 30, 2012|title=Lita's Bio|publisher=SLAM! Doring and Roadkill quickly embarked on a two-year-long feud with Nova and Chris Chetti. This was followed by a series of feuds with The Impact Players (Lance Storm and Justin Credible), Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger, The Bad Street Boys (Joey Matthews and Christian York) and then Tommy Dreamer and Raven.
The team won the ECW World Tag Team Championship on December 3, 2000 at the Massacre on 34th Street pay-per-view, defeating Tony Mamaluke and Little Guido.{{cite web|url=http://slam.canoe.ca/SlamWrestlingPPV/dec4_ecw-can.html|archive-url=https://archive.today/20120721133859/http://slam.canoe.ca/SlamWrestlingPPV/dec4_ecw-can.html|url-status=usurped|archive-date=July 21, 2012|title=Tag team bout steals Massacre show|author=Powell, John|publisher=SLAM!
