Dapingfangornis was an enantiornithean bird. It lived during the Early Cretaceous and is known from fossils—including a complete skeleton—found in the Jiufotang Formation in Liaoning province, People's Republic of China. Small to medium-sized, it had a sternum with both long and short lateral processes, and a unique thornlike process on its nares.{{cite journal |author=Li Li |author2=Ye Duan |author3=Dongyu Hu |author4=Li Wang |author5=Shaoli Cheng |author6=Lianhai Hou |year=2006 |title=New Eoenantiornithid Bird from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Western Liaoning, China |journal=Acta Geologica Sinica |volume=80 |issue=1 |pages=38–41 |doi=10.1111/j.1755-6724.2006.tb00792.x |bibcode=2006AcGlS..80...38L }}
