Darryl Allan Ashmore (born November 1, 1969) is an American former professional football offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins. At Northwestern, he garnered All-Big Ten Honors after switching to the offensive side as a senior and made the Dean's List academically.
Ashmore went on to have an 11-year career in the NFL despite suffering a career-threatening injury his junior season as a defensive end... He was a force in the Big-Ten Conference the prior seasons and NFL prospect ....At Peoria High School ,the young lineman was one of the highly rated players in the state and a consensus All-Stater his senior year.... He garnered recruiting interest and offers from top programs in the Midwest and the South.. The student athlete was named a CSA All-American and received the Scholar Athlete of the Year in the Peoria Tri-county area.
