Date and time notation in Iran

In Iran, short dates are written as year/month/day, for example {{lang|fa|۱۳۸۹/۵/۱۶}},{{cite web |url=http://www.cbi.ir/default.aspx |access-date=2009-04-30 |script-title=fa:بانک مرکزی ایران |publisher=The Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran |language=Persian |url-status=live |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20090421214557/http://www.cbi.ir/default.aspx |archive-date=2009-04-21}} and long dates as day month name year from right to left, for example {{lang|fa|۱۶ مرداد ۱۳۸۹}}. Both two-digit and four-digit years are valid but months and days are not usually padded with leading zeros.
