David Raymond Cowper (born 25 January 1939) is an Australian former cricketer. Cowper made his state debut against the touring Marylebone Cricket Club side of 1965–66, called up after an injury to Ray Jordon.{{cite news |last1=Ackerly |first1=Doug |title=England has to rebuild from grassroots up |url=https://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/england-has-to-rebuild-from-grassroots-up-20070101-gdp5if.html |access-date=13 May 2024 |work=Sydney Morning Herald |date=1 January 2007}} Batting at number nine, he made 60 not out in Victoria's first innings and shared in a unbeaten 122 run partnership with Graeme Watson for the eighth wicket. In 1993, Cowper emigrated to the West Midlands in England, the birthplace of his wife.
