Shook, Doing Business by the Good Book, New York: Hyperion, 2004

Steward received his Bachelor of Science in business from Central Missouri State University in 1973.

He owned Transportation Business Specialists and Transport Administrative Services in the years leading up to founding World Wide Technology. He is also a founder of Telcobuy, a global technology and supply chain management company.{{cite web|url=https://www.telcobuy.com/about.html|title=Telcobuy.com | About|website=www.telcobuy.com}}
