Political career
Warr stood for election as deputy of St Helier South in the 2022 general election under the Better Way banner. Warr was elected with a majority of 25 votes, the smallest of any successful candidates in the election.{{cite web |title='22 Election Results |url=https://www.vote.je/news/22-election-results/ |website=vote.je |publisher=States Greffe |access-date=20 November 2023 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20230602084709/https://www.vote.je/news/22-election-results/ |archive-date=2 June 2023 |date=10 August 2022 |url-status=live}}
Warr supported Kristina Moore in the 2022 Chief Minister of Jersey election, and was subsequently appointed Minister for Housing and Communities in the Moore ministry.{{cite web |title=2022.07.05 States Minutes |url=https://statesassembly.gov.je/assemblyminutes/2023/2023.07.05%20states%20minutes%20(pages%20156%20to%20163).pdf |website=statesassembly.gov.je |publisher=States Greffe |access-date=24 May 2024 }} He held this position until the collapse of the Moore ministry in January 2024.
Controversies
In February 2024, following his replacement as housing minister by Reform Jersey leader Sam Mézec, Warr told Mézec that the three Reform deputies of St Helier South would no longer be able to hold their constituency surgeries at Warr's coffee shop Cooper & Co. Warr denied that the decision had anything to do with recent political events, whilst Mézec decried it as a "revenge eviction".{{cite news |last1=Jeune |first1=James |title=Political party claims it is "no longer welcome" at former minister's coffee shop |url=https://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2024/02/05/political-party-claims-it-is-no-longer-welcome-at-former-ministers-coffee-shop/ |access-date=24 May 2024 |work=Jersey Evening Post |date=5 February 2024 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240206060135/https://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2024/02/05/political-party-claims-it-is-no-longer-welcome-at-former-ministers-coffee-shop/ |archive-date=6 February 2024 |url-status=live}}
