Dead Injun Creek

Dead Injun Creek is a small stream in Grant County, Oregon, in the United States.{{cite gnis|id=1140704|name=Dead Injun Creek|entrydate=28 November 1980|accessdate=5 September 2015}} The name Dead Injun commemorates a Native American (formerly called an Injun) who was killed in battle near the river's bank.{{cite book|last=Mosgrove|first=Jerry L.|title=The Malheur National Forest: an ethnographic history|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=4zThRHfeGL8C&pg=PA238|year=1980|publisher=USDA Forest Service|page=238}} The creek is within the South Fork John Day River drainage basin.
