Reception

David M. Wilson reviewed the game for Computer Gaming World, and stated that "If the game's slow pacing doesn't put the player off initially, the game will give players a competitive run for their money and much potential 'bang for the buck' as the game progresses".{{Cite magazine |last=Wilson |first=David M. |date=November 1987 |title=Deep Space: Katana on a Hot Spinward Loop! |url=https://archive.org/details/Computer_Gaming_World_Issue_41/page/n41/mode/1up?view=theater |magazine=Computer Gaming World |volume=1 |issue=41 |pages=42, 48}}
