Desmocyon is an extinct genus of the Borophaginae subfamily of canids native to North America. It lived from the Late Oligocene to the Early Miocene, 24.8—16.3 Mya, existing for approximately {{Mya|24.8-16.3|mya}}.[https://paleobiodb.org/classic/checkTaxonInfo?taxon_no=41208 Desmocyon, fossilworks] It is a rarely found genus,{{cn|date=April 2019}} with fossil deposits only occurring in western Nebraska, Wyoming, New Mexico and north Florida.
