Publication history

Fictional character biography

Devilance is a New God from Apokolips and a hunter who serves its leader, Darkseid. During an attempt to kill the Forever People, Devilance battles Infinity-Man and is presumed dead.

Devilance resurfaces in the series 52, where he captures Starfire, Adam Strange, and Animal Man on another planet.52 Week 7 (June 21, 2006). DC Comics.52 Week 8 (June 28, 2006). DC Comics. They later escape, and Devilance is killed by Lobo.52 Week 9 (July 6, 2006). DC Comics.52 Week 17 (August 30, 2006). DC Comics.

In 2016, DC Comics implemented a relaunch called "DC Rebirth", which restored its continuity to a form much as it was prior to The New 52. In Dial H for Hero, Devilance battles Robby Reed with DeSaad, Kalibak, Tigra, Steppenwolf, and the Parademons.Dial H for Hero #11. DC Comics.

Powers and abilities

As a New God, Devilance possesses superhuman physical abilities. He can additionally manipulate his own physical density and is resistant to extreme temperatures.

=Equipment=

Devilance's principal weapon is his lance, which serves many functions. It can fly, fire powerful energy blasts, and track others via circuitry embedded into it.
