Career

=== Sweden (1977) ===

Vestmanlands Läns Tidning stated:

: "His oil paintings have a surrealistic touch, presenting fantasy images that sometimes serve as pessimistic depictions of human attitudes, while at other times appearing softly decorative in warm colors or even fairy tale like."{{cite news |date=1977-11-17 |title=Målare från Makedonien |trans-title=Painter from Macedonia |url=https://archive.org/details/malare-fran-makedonien |archive-url= |newspaper=Vestmanlands Läns Tidning |location=Västerås, Sweden |page=29 |language=Swedish |id=Nr. 267, Lösnr. 1:50, Vecka 46, Årgång 147 |quote=Hans oljemålningar har surrealistisk prägel, fantasibilder som ibland fungerar som pessimistiska skildringar av människor och attityder, men som också kan vara mjukt dekorativa i varma färger eller sagoaktiga, som målningen av barnet och grodan.}}

=== Germany (1989) ===

Westdeutsche Zeitung, noted:

: "A strange and rare light has been shining in this room since the paintings by the Yugoslav artist Dimitrije Gaspar were hung here. The exhibits awaken in me a longing for distant places."{{cite news |author=Marita Nevis |date=7 June 1989 |title=Die Sehnsucht nach der Ferne: Ungewöhnliche Maltechnik des Jugoslawen Dimitrije Gaspar |trans-title=The Longing for Distance: Unusual Painting Technique of the Yugoslav Artist Dimitrije Gaspar |url=https://archive.org/details/die-sehnsucht-nach-der-ferne |newspaper=Westdeutsche Zeitung |location=Langenfeld, Germany |page=HI 2 |language=German |quote=Ich habe das Gefühl, daß ein seltsames und seltenes Licht in diesem Raum erstrahlt, seit die Bilder des jugoslawischen Künstlers Dimitrije Gaspar hier hängen. Article in the Rheinische Post observed his thematic focus on symbolism and mythology:{{cite news |author=Claudia Schmitz |date=7 June 1989 |title=Mythologisches mit zarten Farben kunstvoll eingefangen |trans-title=Mythological Elements Artfully Captured with Delicate Colors |url=https://archive.org/details/mythologisches-mit-zarten-farben-kunstvoll-eingefangen |newspaper=Rheinische Post |location=Langenfeld, Germany |language=German |edition=Langenfeld Monheim |id=130 |quote=Walter Klee, Vorsitzender der Langenfelder Künstlergemeinschaft, lernte Dimitrije Gaspar bei einer gemeinsamen Ausstellung in Pula/Istrien kennen. [...] „Als Motive bevorzugt der anerkannte Maler Gegenstände aus der antiken Welt, Symbole aus der Mythologie, erotische Frauenkörper, weiche Formen und zarte Linien."}}

The Journal Times wrote:

: "Dimitri Gaspar creates unusual works on paper, often incorporating mythological images and female forms. His compositions suggest a synthesis of symbols where elements such as a horse and child or frog and dove together evoke a new, independent force."{{cite news |date=15 February 1990 |title=Yugoslavian Artist Has Racine Connection |url=https://archive.org/details/yugoslavian-artist-has-racine-connection |newspaper=The Journal Times |page=Calendar Listings (Section C) |language=English}}
