Career

While still part of the NK Varteks youth system, Škvorc made his professional debut with the senior Varteks in the 2007–08 Prva HNL, in the away game against NK Osijek on 27 October 2007. He established himself as a starting eleven regular in the 2009–10 Prva HNL season, in which he appeared in 27 out of 30 league matches for the club.{{cite web|url=http://www.hnl-statistika.com/p1.asp?ID=1488|title=Škvorc Dino – Hrvatska|work=Nogometni magazin|language=Croatian|accessdate=4 August 2010}}

In June 2010, after losing its main sponsorship deal (with Varteks clothing factory), Varteks changed its name to NK Varaždin, and immediately started suffering financial difficulties, leading to its players not consistently receiving their salaries. In June 2011, the Croatian Football Federation terminated Varaždin's contract with Škvorc, allowing him to sign a five-year contract with Dinamo Zagreb.{{cite news |url=http://www.hrsport.net/vijesti/420060/nogomet-1-hnl/oba-skvorca-otisla-iz-varazdina |title=Oba Škvorca otišla iz Varaždina! |last=Strahija |first=Ivana |date=29 June 2011 |work=Sportnet.hr |language=Croatian |accessdate=29 June 2011 |archive-date=2 July 2011 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110702063510/http://www.hrsport.net/vijesti/420060/nogomet-1-hnl/oba-skvorca-otisla-iz-varazdina |url-status=dead }}{{cite news |url=http://www.hrsport.net/vijesti/420994/nogomet-1-hnl/skvorci-i-atta-u-dinamu |title=Škvorci i Atta u Dinamu |last=Dubravac |first=Ante |date=14 July 2011 |work=Sportnet.hr |language=Croatian |accessdate=14 July 2011 |archive-date=18 July 2011 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110718115133/http://www.hrsport.net/vijesti/420994/nogomet-1-hnl/skvorci-i-atta-u-dinamu |url-status=dead }} In August 2011, he was loaned to NK Lokomotiva.{{cite news|url=http://www.gnkdinamo.hr/josip-%C5%A1imuni%C4%87-potpisao-za-dinamo.html#anchor |title=Josip Šimunić potpisao za Dinamo! |date=31 August 2011 |work=gnkdinamo.hr |language=Croatian |accessdate=31 August 2011 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20111120133528/http://gnkdinamo.hr/josip-%C5%A1imuni%C4%87-potpisao-za-dinamo.html |archivedate=20 November 2011 |df=dmy }} In January 2012, Škvorc terminated his contract with Dinamo.{{cite news |url=http://www.hrsport.net/vijesti/431750/nogomet-1-hnl/bilo-je-jasno-da-necu-brzo-docekati-dinamo |title=Bilo je jasno da neću brzo dočekati Dinamo |last=Strahija |first=Ivana |date=5 January 2012 |work=Sportnet.hr |language=Croatian |accessdate=5 January 2012 |archive-date=15 July 2014 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140715005744/http://www.hrsport.net/vijesti/431750/nogomet-1-hnl/bilo-je-jasno-da-necu-brzo-docekati-dinamo/ |url-status=dead }} In February 2012, Škvorc signed a sixth-month contract with Belgian club KV Mechelen with a possibility of a two-year extension.{{cite news|url=http://www.evarazdin.hr/dino-skvorc-mechelen-novi-igrac-belgijskog-prvoligasa/ |title=Dino Škvorc novi igrač belgijskog prvoligaša KV Mechelena |last=Tomašković |first=Ivan |date=6 February 2012 |work=evarazdin.hr |language=Croatian |accessdate=6 February 2012}}
