Geography
The locality contains the source of both the Morehead River and Alice River.

Most of the west of the locality and some of the east of the locality is within the Olkola National Park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land). History
The Dixie pastoral station is within the locality.{{cite QPN|10223|Dixie|homestead in the Shire of Cook|accessdate=28 September 2017}} It was purchased by the Queensland Government in August 2012.
