Dixie Rapid is a bus rapid transit (BRT) service in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. It is operated by TARC and serves a {{Convert|15|mi}} corridor between Valley Station and downtown Louisville. History
In 2015, a $16.9 million grant was awarded to Louisville by the USDOT to begin the project by constructing bus shelters and purchasing new buses.{{cite news|url=https://www.wdrb.com/news/federal-grant-paves-way-for-louisville-s-first-bus-rapid/article_dba2f894-ac53-54f2-80a9-1e02874f3837.html|title=Federal grant paves way for Louisville's first 'bus rapid transit' line|newspaper=WDRB|date=October 26, 2015|access-date=November 11, 2024}} A combination of federal, state and local funding was used for the service as part of a larger project to improve safety and accessibility on the Dixie Highway. The route runs north–south through primarily along the Dixie Highway in Louisville.
