Doğusandal (meaning "East sandalwood" named after Santalum album, a common tree) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Erdemli, Mersin Province, Turkey.[https://www.e-icisleri.gov.tr/Anasayfa/MulkiIdariBolumleri.aspx Mahalle], Turkey Civil Administration Departments Inventory. Its distance to Erdemli is {{convert|25|km}} and to Mersin is {{convert|30|km}}. There are ruins of Byzantine settlements around the village, however the village was founded about four centuries ago.
