Critical reception

Jeff Benjamin from Billboard referred to the song as a "throwaway single" that sounded "like a rehash of their earlier material". He remarked that the "single only highlighted a creative standstill 2NE1 was in at the time".{{cite web |last1=Benjamin |first1=Jeff |title=Every 2NE1 Single Ranked From Worst to Best: Critic’s Take |url=https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/2ne1-songs-every-single-ranked-7662783/ |website=Billboard |access-date=4 April 2023 |date=25 January 2017}}

Promotion

2NE1 appeared on Korean music shows M Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo to perform the song live. Their live performance of "Do You Love Me" on KBS's Music Bank was their first on the show in three years since its entertainment agency ceased relationships with KBS following a dispute.{{cite web|title=2NE1 finally performs on Music Bank after 3 long years|url=http://www.allkpop.com/article/2013/08/2ne1-finally-performs-on-music-bank-after-3-long-years|publisher=Allkpop|accessdate=10 August 2013}}
