Doll's head clock

Doll's head clocks, often known by their French name {{lang|fr|tête de poupée}}, were popular during the last quarter of the seventeenth century.{{cite book | url=https://books.google.com/books?id=waRlAgAAQBAJ&pg=PA226 | title=Encyclopedia of Time | publisher=Routledge | author=Macey, Samuel L. | year=2013 | pages=226}} They are named for their profile which resembles a head and shoulders. A doll's head clock is almost always ornamented with Boulle marquetry.
