Dominican University New York is a private Roman Catholic university in Orangeburg, New York. It is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Its {{convert|64|acre|m2|adj=on}} suburban campus in Orangeburg is {{convert|17|mi|km}} from New York City in Rockland County.

Five years later, the college was opened to lay students. Athletics
