Advans is an international microfinance group based in Luxembourg and founded in 2005.

The group was created by Horus Development Finance, a consultancy firm specializing in financial inclusion, with the goal of expanding access to credit and savings services for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in contexts where access to banking services is limited.{{Cite journal |last=Brown & Falgon |year=2015 |title=" Un exemple de réseau international intégré de microfinance : le groupe Advans. Advans began its presence in Africa with the creation of subsidiaries such as Advans Tunisie and Advans Nigeria, after acquiring the necessary authorizations in these countries.{{Cite web |title=Advans démarre ses activités en Tunisie - Jeune Afrique.com |url=https://www.jeuneafrique.com/226567/economie-entreprises/advans-d-marre-ses-activit-s-en-tunisie/ |access-date=2025-04-29 |website=JeuneAfrique.com |language=fr-FR}}{{Cite web |title=Advans s'implante au Nigeria - Jeune Afrique.com |url=https://www.jeuneafrique.com/27158/economie-entreprises/advans-s-implante-au-nigeria/ |access-date=2025-04-29 |website=JeuneAfrique.com |language=fr-FR}} Its development has been studied in academic publications, which place it within a more general trend of transforming microfinance institutions into regulated structures, combining public and private funding.{{Cite journal |last=Estelle Darie-Rousseaux et Katherine Brown |year=2016 |title=Développement d'une gamme de services financiers diversifiés pour les producteurs de cacao en Côte d'Ivoire et dans d'autres contextes agricoles. |url=https://shs.cairn.info/revue-techniques-financieres-et-developpement-2016-3-page-67?lang=fr |journal=Techniques Financières et Développement |language=FR |edition=Techniques Financières et Développement, n° 124(3) |volume=124 |issue=3 |pages=67–79 |doi=10.3917/tfd.124.0067}}

Advans has also received funding from development players, such as the Dutch bank FMO, which has supported several of the group's projects as part of its financial inclusion initiatives.{{Cite web |title=Project detail - ADVANS S.A.
