Avik Anwar (born: 4 September 1986) is a Bangladeshi motorsports racer and the first international racing champion of Bangladesh. Career
Father Anwar Hossain's car business. He grew up seeing different brands of cars since childhood. That's when he developed a passion for doing something different with cars. One day, after watching Michael Schumacher's racing, he thought, "Oh, if only I could run like that." That's where it all started. Sometimes he cut vegetables for a restaurant, sometimes he worked part-time at a library. He bought a car with the money he saved from these jobs. He used to practice regularly at the practice track in Canada. While practicing, Avik also sensed his potential in car racing. Then, after completing his studies, he returned to Dhaka in 2012. Avik has participated in Rally Cross, the only motor sports competition held in Bangladesh so far, since 2014. He became a hat-trick champion in the competition held in Dhaka. That confidence gave Avik the courage to race in the international arena, "I came first the first two times by a microsecond.
