The Cascade Institute is a Canadian research center located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 2020 by Thomas Homer-Dixon at Royal Roads University, the institute is named after both the Cascadia bioregion and the institute's use of complexity science in its work, particularly as it pertains to "cascades" of virtuous (high-leverage interventions) or pernicious (risks and crises) changes across complex global systems.
