Davin Joseph Restivo (born April 11, 1990) is an American NASCAR crew chief who works for 23XI Racing as the crew chief of their No. 35 Toyota Camry XSE in the NASCAR Cup Series driven by Riley Herbst. He previously worked for Stewart–Haas Racing as an engineer and crew chief (also with Herbst in the Xfinity Series on the No. 98 car), and Chip Ganassi Racing, Turner Scott Motorsports and NTS Motorsports as an engineer.

Racing career

Restivo's first job in NASCAR was in 2013 when he worked as an engineer for NTS Motorsports in the Truck Series. He then moved to Turner Scott Motorsports, also as an engineer.{{cite web |first=Dustin |last=Albino |url=https://www.nascar.com/news-media/2024/06/19/one-year-later-riley-herbst-continues-upward-trajectory-with-crew-chief-davin-restivo/ |title=One year later: Riley Herbst continues upward trajectory with crew chief Davin Restivo |website=NASCAR.com |date=June 19, 2024 |access-date=November 29, 2024}}

Restivo was an engineer on Chip Ganassi Racing's Xfinity Series No. 42 car with crew chief Mike Shiplett in 2018. After CGR closed down their Xfinity Series team, Shiplett and Restivo continued in their same roles, moving to SHR to work on Cole Custer's No. 00 car. The two moved up to the Cup Series with Custer on SHR's No. 41 car after a very successful 2019 season. He would also get to serve as interim crew chief for the No. 41 car at Phoenix in March 2021 when Shiplett served a 1-race suspension.{{cite web |first=Toby |last=Christie |url=https://tobychristie.com/nascar/cup-series/engineer-davin-restivo-set-to-serve-as-crew-chief-for-cole-custer-at-phoenix-after-mike-shiplett-suspension/ |title=Engineer Davin Restivo Set to Serve as Crew Chief For Cole Custer at Phoenix After Mike Shiplett Suspension |website=TobyChristie.com |date=March 8, 2021 |access-date=November 29, 2024}} Restivo moved over to SHR's No. 10 car driven by Aric Almirola in 2022.{{Cite web |title=Nascar Shuffle |date=20 June 2023 |url=https://www.nascar.com/news-media/2023/06/20/stewart-haas-racing-shuffles-crew-chief-lineup/}}

On June 20, 2023, SHR announced that Restivo would be promoted to an Xfinity Series crew chief for the team on Riley Herbst's No. 98 car, replacing Richard Boswell, who moved up to the Cup Series to crew chief Chase Briscoe's No. 14 car for SHR.{{cite web |url=https://www.jayski.com/2023/06/20/stewart-haas-makes-crew-chief-changes-boswell-to-join-chase-briscoe-restivo-working-with-riley-herbst/ |title=Stewart-Haas makes crew chief changes; Boswell to join Chase Briscoe, Restivo working with Riley Herbst |website=Jayski's Silly Season Site |date=June 20, 2023 |access-date=November 29, 2023}}

After SHR closed down at the end of the 2024 season, it was announced on November 20, 2024 that Restivo would follow Herbst to 23XI Racing to serve as his crew chief on the team's new third full-time car, the No. 35, in his rookie season in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025.{{cite web |url=https://www.jayski.com/2024/11/20/23xi-racing-expanding-to-three-teams-with-riley-herbst/ |title=23XI Racing expanding to three teams with Riley Herbst |website=Jayski's Silly Season Site |publisher=NASCAR Digital Media, LLC |date=November 20, 2024 |access-date=November 29, 2024}}
