Environmental entrepreneurship, also known as ecopreneurship, is the practice of creating new businesses, products or services that are sustainable or solve environmental problems. Environmental entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs (innovators within established businesses) find synergies between what the market wants and the needs of the natural environment, which includes humans. Entrepreneurship in that sense can be regarded as a mechanism which can solve many of our challenges, such as environmental degradation.
Environmental Entrepreneurship can be defined as “market-based solutions to environmental problems and the emergence of industries that achieve economic and environmental goals simultaneously” [https://journals.aom.org/doi/abs/10.5465/annals.2019.0143 Vedula et al. (2022 p.396)].
